I have designed this navigation system to be autonomous not requiring any wires to run. I am utilizing a FIO v3. Power is being supplied by a solar panel and battery pack. Communications are being done using XBee S2 wireless modules. These can be setup in a mesh allowing many to one communication. I’m using the Ultimate GPS module for GPS information and a CMPS10 compass module for compass heading, pitch, and roll. Here is a parts list:
