Today we brought the bikes in so we could explorer the waterfront. The first thing we came to was the Maritime Museum.
They have a couple of military ships along with submarines and tall ships. We will put this on our list of things to see later.
A little further down the shore we found the San Diego icon statue. In the background is the USS Midway. We will also visit that later.
We rode a little further but there is nothing but hotels and the convention center. We crossed over Pacific Highway and started back with a brief detour into Old Town. We got back to the dingy dock at 1300 (1:00pm) and decided that we would continue to Trader Joe’s. Along the way we stopped at the Ace hardware store and verified that they had O-rings that I would need for the windless repair. After finishing shopping at Trader Joes and Ace it was time to relax before heading home.
There is a brewery nearby called Stone Brewery. They have a relaxing patio and both an inside bar and a patio bar. There are 40 taps at each bar. Lots of choices.
Lisa made a great pizza with the dough we bought at Trader Joe’s and we relaxed and watched a movie.
